In 2013 Lynne was approached by the Sydney Archdiocese to paint aiSeries of 10 pieces to reflect the wisdom in the writings of Saint Benedict, after whom the newly completed Retreat Centre in the Hawkesbury Valley, NSW, is named.
As inspiration Lynne used the textures and colours of the Australian bush, and its skies from sunrise to storm-tossed evenings. These became the backdrops to the text and its universal themes.
The pieces are hanging in the new Benedict XVI Retreat Centre,
Grose Vale, NSW.
